Deborah Doherty discovered her love for all things artful and colorful at an early age. She was also a closet techie, which ultimately led her to pursue a career in graphic design. This combination morphed into the pieces she creates now... A mix of graphical symmetry and freehand whimsy, her pieces have been described as “a sparkly twist of complex simplicity” and she loves that. Although she loves doing self inspired pieces... commissioned pieces are, by far, her favorite. The reaction that comes from someone seeing them self, their kid, their dog or even their car is the reason she started and continues creating. As sadistic as it sounds, tears are the best compliment she receives. Hand painted, acrylic on canvas with an interesting use of sparkly goodness.
